American celebrities whose DNA/Birth confirm they are Nigerians

Some of which where born by Nigerian parents abroad while others traced their roots via DNA testing to discover their true ancestry after 100s of years have passed.


1. Lil Wayne.

Lil Wayne who had a DNA test confirming his ancestry to be from Nigeria. Test results shows he is 50% percent Nigeria. Actually after test results, his mother revealed his biology father was an Igbo Nigerian. On his Twitter page and other social media handles he now goes by the name Lil Tunechi.

2. Forest Withtaker.

Forest Withtaker is a very popular American A-list actor, many would remember him for his role in the movie, last 'The king of Scotland' where he played the role of dictator ruler Idi Amin of Ugandan. Withtaker underwent a DNA ancestry tracing where it was revealed his roots are from Nigeria, and Ikwerre tribe of the Igbo Ethnic group, he visited Nigeria was awarded a chieftain award in Imo State by the Ikwerre people.

3. Chamillionaire

The American rapper whose birth are Hakeem Seriki, was born and raised in Texas U.S.A, confirmed that his parents are from Lagos State Nigeria.

4. Sophie Okonedo.

Her father was Nigerian from Edo State and mother Welsh. She has landed big roles as an actor in Hollywood.

5. Ashley Madekwe

The beautiful actress was to a British and Nigerian parents.

6. Tracy Ifeachor.

The tread-stone actor was born to Nigerian parents on both side,but grew up in London. She is getting bigger roles in Hollywood after her appearance in The Originals. She is Igbo ancestry.

7. Nnamdi Asomugha.

The American football star was born in Louisiana U.S.A to Nigerian parents. He is an actor now.

8. Nonso Anoxie.

The game of Thrones actor was born to Nigerian parents in London.

9. Wale

The popular rapper, singer and song writer whose real names are Olubowale Victor Akintimehin revealed that his parents hails from Ogun State Nigeria. So he is of Yoruba decent and has had numerous collaborations with song Nigeria A-list artist. He was born and raised in Washington.

10. Bill Harper

His DNA tracing shows his ancestry is from Nigeria.
