The  #EndSARS  protest keeps gaining momentum by the day as Muslim devotees observe their Jumaat Solat at the protest ground in Lagos and Abuja. Over the past week, the Nigerian youths have been agitating against the oppression, brutality and killings by the SARS unit of the Nigerian Police Force. The protest, which has taken different turns as some protesters have lost their lives in the fight, was banned in Abuja yesterday over COVID-19 regulation violation. In a statement released on Thursday, October 15th, the committee stated that despite the scrapping of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad by the Inspector-General of Police, the protests had continued, causing inconveniences to law-abiding citizens. According to the committee, the #EndSARS protest endangers the lives of the demonstrators, as well as other residents of the capital territory, emphasizing that the protesters have failed to comply with COVID-19 guidelines. A video making round on social media has captured moment a man injected a drink he bought for a lady  that he met on  Facebook The footage shows how he was shivering and watching closely before he injected the drink with a syringe that he was holding. According to reports, the incident happened in Lagos and the man met the lady on facebook, took her to the hotel to rape, kill and collect all her properties. Unknowingly, some other anonymous men were capturing the moment which is even unknown to the bar attendant who served him the drink.

 The Northern District of Illinois on Monday denied Ramon Abbas aka Ray Hushpuppi bail. The self-acclaimed ‘Billionaire Gucci Master’, who has over 2.5 million followers on Instagram, will remain in detention until his trial later this year over money laundering allegations, the court said. Hushpuppi will be transported to Los Angeles by the United States Marshals Service, and will not be allowed to stay with his girlfriend’s uncle in Homewood, Illinois. His trial is slated to hold in Los Angeles where the case was filed, rather from Chicago where the investigation is being handled, Forbes reports. Throughout the hearing, Hushpuppi’s lawyer denied that his client was a flight risk or a danger to the community, repeatedly rejecting the allegations made against his client by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s affidavit posted earlier this month. Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa , the Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NiDCOM, has decried the negative effects of cyber crime on the country’s image at the global scene. She spoke while cautioning Nigerians against committing crime and still having the audacity to flaunt it like suspected cybercriminal, Ramon Abbas, popularly known as Hushpuppi did on Instagram.
