Earlier this month, about 14 days ago, 30 BG new signee, Lhil Frosh was accused of mercilessly beating his girlfriend to the point where he deformed and reconstructed her face. After the news of the domestic violence went viral, Davido who is in charge of the 30BG group terminated his contract. Days after the incident, the victim named Gift popularly known as "thacutegeminine" came out in public to disclose what happened adding that her bf has been beating her. However, she is in good condition now and have been able to treat all bruises and injuries. Although, she revealed her plans of leaving the relationship, we are yet to know how it went. Soldiers have been deployed to the streets of Abuja to arrest the escalating #ENDSARS protests.  The protests in Abuja have in some cases have got out of hand with suspected hoodlums attacking protesters as well as pro-SARS groups. The situation has often led to clashes that leave several persons injured with vehicles and other property damaged. There have been reports that a protester, who was stabbed by one of such hoodlums, died in a hospital. Around the popular AYA Roundabout where the protesters had planned to block on Monday, armed soldiers were seen patrolling to ensure flow of traffic. They mounted barricades as they tried to manage the situation. There were reports of similar scenarios in other parts of the city as the protesters divide themselves into groups and operate from various locations. The  #EndSARS  protest keeps gaining momentum by the day as Muslim devotees observe their Jumaat Solat at the protest ground in Lagos and Abuja. Over the past week, the Nigerian youths have been agitating against the oppression, brutality and killings by the SARS unit of the Nigerian Police Force. The protest, which has taken different turns as some protesters have lost their lives in the fight, was banned in Abuja yesterday over COVID-19 regulation violation. In a statement released on Thursday, October 15th, the committee stated that despite the scrapping of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad by the Inspector-General of Police, the protests had continued, causing inconveniences to law-abiding citizens. According to the committee, the #EndSARS protest endangers the lives of the demonstrators, as well as other residents of the capital territory, emphasizing that the protesters have failed to comply with COVID-19 guidelines. Veteran Nollywood actress, Toyin Afolayan better known as Lola Idije has been credited with coining the popular ‘soro soke’ slang taking over Nigeria’s social media. The Nigerian social media space is one that is usually made very fun and interesting with the use of slangs that youths can identify with. Nigerian singer,  Davido has been trending on social medi a after he stormed Abuja to demand for the release of some protesters who were locked up. During the movement, he led some other Nigerians to beg for the release of 20 innocent protesters. As Davido marched along with his boys, the police officers made a strange move, and Davido almost ran away from the scene. He however stopped when he discovered that he was safe. Afterwards, he went down on his knees and begged them to release the protesters who did nothing wrong to deserve being locked up for a long time.
